Purpose, role and vision

In 2019 the Banks strategy was revised. Board members and employees played a key role in the formulation of the Bank’s strategy, including role, values, and vision.

Our purpose moving Iceland forward by empowering our customers to succeed articulates the Banks role in shaping and progressing society.

The purpose is supported by three values which are the heart of the Bank’s culture and shape employees’ attitudes and behaviour. Our values are:
