Riaan Dreyer appointed Director of IT at Íslandsbanki

Riaan Dreyer has been appointed Director of Information Technology at Íslandsbanki. He will join the Bank in September.


 Riaan has extensive experience of business solutions and IT in financial institutions. He was previously head of software development at Arion Bank and worked in software development at Meniga. Before then, he worked on development of business solutions for Standard Bank in South Africa, where he headed the IT department. He held the same position at Liberty Life in South Africa and, before that, was a consultant for Deloitte Consulting. 

Riaan has a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. He completed a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics from the same university and a BSc in Economics from the University of South Africa. He has also completed a programme of management studies at IESE Business School in Barcelona and has studied information technology at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.
