The ESG assessment is based on environmental, social and governance factors. Íslandsbanki’s highest score is 96 points out of 100 in the environmental category. This rating is in line with the bank’s emphasis on environmental matters, in particular, the assessment of the carbon footprint of the loan and asset portfolio and the goal of carbon neutrality in 2040. Íslandsbanki receives high marks in the social and governance categories as well.
Íslandsbanki yet again among the best based on an ESG assessment
The Icelandic rating agency Reitun confirms Íslandsbanki Bank’s sustainability performance in its latest ESG assessment. The bank receives 90 points, the same as last year’s score, and remains among the best in the field.
