Entrepreneurs awarded ISK 30.5m in grants

Special consideration is paid to projects which promote the four UN SDGs the bank has decided to implement in its strategy.


A total of ISK 30.5m in grants was today awarded from the Íslandsbanki Entrepreneur fund to entrepreneurs and startups .140 applications were received and 9 selected.

Special consideration is paid to projects which promote the the four UN SDGs the bank has decided to implement in its strategy. Those are quality education, gender equality, climate action and innovation and infrastructure.

The grants were awarded at Íslandsbanki's headquarters in Kópavogur during the event Entrepreneurs and innovation. A new report, written by Reykjavik Economics for Íslandsbanki, was presented at the event and is part of the Bank's efforts to analyse the local SME market.
