Apply for a National Identity number

If you do not have a National Identity number, you can apply for one through Register Iceland. (Þjóðskrá). Unfortunately, we cannot help you if you do not have an Icelandic National Identity number.

If you have an Icelandic National ID number, you can create an account online using an electronic ID or visit our branch with a valid ID.
