Cancel a card

Step-by-step instructions on how to cancel your card.

There are several ways to close your card permanently or cancel it to replace it with a new one.

Debit card cancelled:

• • Selects the debit card in the Íslandsbanki app to close. At the bottom of the screen you will see options. Select the one on the far left, the three dots. After that, select "Close/New" and then select "Cancel Card".

• Speak to one of our advisors on the online chat.

• Visit one of our branches.

Credit card cancelled:
