Access administrator - management

Customers can now create their own online banking access and appoint new access administrators to manage all company-related access and entitlements.

The role of an access administrator

Access administrator has access control rights within the company, where he can create and manage user access to the company's online banking and app. Since the access permission is extensive, the application for the setup of new administrator requires the signature of the board of directors and related parties for the authorization to become valid.

Administrators can fully manage access for users within their own company to which their access belongs. In addition, administrators may grant or revoke external users’ access to their companies.

Creating a new administrator

After logging in with electronic ID's at oryggi.islandsbanki.is, the applicant will see a list of the companies for which he is authorized to create a new administrator. First select the company for which the administrator is being for. Then start the process by selecting "Mandate" in the navigation and in the top right corner, click on "Create new administrator".

Next, a window appears where the new administrator's social security number is entered.

After this, a page appears with the name of the person who is to become the administrator. The applicant must enter the phone number and email address of the new administrator. Also, the phone number and email address(es) of those who are to sign on behalf of the company (digital signature) and authorize the setup of the administrator.

The number of required signatures needed to fully sign a document varies depending on signing rules for each company. Some companies require 3 out of 5 signatures, while others require 5 out of 7 and so on.

Applicant clicks "Request access" to move on to the confirmation of the application.

At the end of the process, a receipt is displayed.

In the "Mandate overview", the applicant can always monitor the status of the approval on the access creation; oryggi.islandsbanki.is. As soon as the required number of signatures are reached, the new administrator access is created.
