Annual General Meeting
The general meeting is the ultimate decision-making body of Íslandsbanki. All shareholders have equal rights to attend, speak, make proposals and vote. The annual general meeting is held every year after the Bank has presented its annual accounts.
At the AGM, the Board of Directors is elected, the auditors selected, the annual accounts for the previous year and the employment terms policy presented for approval, and decisions made about dividend payments and amendments to the Articles of Association, as appropriate.
Shareholders or their representatives are authorised to attend shareholders’ meetings, as are their advisors. At shareholders’ meetings, each share carries one vote, and matters are decided by majority vote unless otherwise stipulated by law or in the Articles of Association. The AGM is held in Reykjavík.
