Vodafone Iceland selects Íslandsbanki to oversee preparations for public listing

Vodafone Iceland, has engaged Íslandsbanki to act it’s advisor for the proposed listing of the Company on the NASDAQ OMX Iceland. Prior to the proposed listing, investors, along with the general public, will be given the opportunity to subscribe to shares in Vodafone Iceland.

The main objective of the process is to ensure a diverse and strong shareholder base and provide market participants with the opportunity to invest in a leading communication company in Iceland. Trading of the Company’s shares is anticipated to start in the last quarter of 2012. 

Vodafone Iceland is serves over 100 thousand individuals in Iceland and about 7 thousand companies. Vodafone Iceland works closely with Vodafone Group PLC, which is a leading mobile communication provider worldwide, serving more than 400 million.
