Governance Principles
In 2009, the Iceland Chamber of Commerce, Nasdaq OMX Iceland and the Confederation of Icelandic Employers issued Guidelines of Corporate Governance. Íslandsbanki strives to comply with these guidelines, the purpose of which is to provide companies with guidance concerning relations among their shareholders, board of directors and management. The Guidelines reflect international efforts to improve corporate governance standards in the new globalised business environment.
Articles of Association
Íslandsbanki's activities are founded on the Icelandic Act on financial undertakings (No. 161/2002), the Act on public limited companies (No. 2/1995) and the bank's Articles of Association.
Rules of Procedure
Íslandsbanki’s Rules of Procedure is prepared in accordance with Icelandic law and lays down the responsibilities of the Board of Directors.
