Íslandsbanki is organised into, four business units and eight centralised support units. The business units include retail banking, corporate banking, wealth management and markets.

Business units

Retail banking

  • Retail banking offers comprehensive services to retail customers and SME's.
  • The bank has over 45,000 active individual clients and around 5,500 SME's.
  • It is the only retail bank in Iceland that offers in- house asset based financing services

Corporate banking

  • Corporate banking offers a broad range of financial services to larger corporations and investors.
  • Niche focus and industry team expertise in seafood and geothermal energy, built on our Icelandic heritage, opens attractive international organic growth opportunities.

Wealth management

  • Íslandsbanki has been a leading player in Icelandic wealth management since 1986.
  • Split up into two business lines private banking and financial advisory & services.
  • Operates independent subsidiary IS Funds, one of the largest fund management companies in Iceland.

Markets

  • Markets offer securities brokerage, FX sales, corporate advisory services and research
  • Product offerings include: FX spot and forwards, money market loans/deposits, IRS/CIRS, bond repos and spot deals on bonds and equities.
  • Research carries out in-depth economic analysis and issues regular forecasts on the main economic indicators in Iceland. They publish a daily newsletter both in Icelandic and English.
  • Corporate advisory offers comprehensive services to investors, including: Listing and/or de-listing companies, restructuring, IPOs and LBOs.
